hey Lors

if i get back out of chopping the roof myself, do you think that is something he would do?

Well year. I think he´s got No limits. He can build you a brand new body if you have  enough money Money mouth But start with sending him pictures of the car and how you want the top shop to be done.  Or  If you like we can go and just have a talk with him to start with. Smile

Chopping a '35/36 Ford 3 window coupe and making it look good is difficult — IMO.  It's not nearly as hard to do as a '40 coupe, but still difficult enough that it ought to be left to someone who has done a couple already.  I have seen several magazine articles on doing it, but still don't have the guts to do mine (or hire it done), and my '36 coupe is in nowhere near the condition that your is.  But, no guts, no glory……….

In my opinion, it´s a shame to chop those mid - late thirties coupes.Cool

T -A an B´s all looks like an outhouse on wheels, and here I have no objections, but 35 and onwards all have the flow in lines I like.Laughing

I know it´s done often, but it does not work for me Frown

On monday one of my dreams will come true, owning a 1936 ford 3W coupe. She arrives from sunny Mexico to snowy Denmark. She is equipped with a 59AB flathead, same year tranny and juice brakes. The last photo is how i would like the car to end up maybe, a 1940’s custom.

So i am on the look out for parts to turn it into a ‘Custom’.

1941 Ford bumpers

Sombreros

Lasalle grill

Solid steelies

An original 36′ seat

1936 Ford original headlights.

Fender skirts

Flathead parts: heads, intake, and carbs etc etc

So if by some miracle someone in Denmark has any of these parts or if you have something else that could be cool for a custom please contact me at welcometojamesville@gmail.com.

Ok see you this summer on four wheels!!

Hi Guys

Thanks for the help in tracking down parts but i have decided to build a hot rod instead, i found this photo and i really fell for the car. Its like an early Street Rod and i love it. Plus i do not have to find so many parts, i have bought some original 1940 Ford steelies 16×4 and they are painted and waiting for the tires coming form the UK, firestone 5.50 and 7.50. i have purchased some original 1940 Ford Deluxe Hubcaps but i am still looking for some 16″ ribbed beauty/trim rings. I have tracked down some 1941 bumpers.

i am about to install a Mallory ING, new cables, plugs and coil. it is running with a single 97 strom, but in the future will have 'Vintage Speed' complete fuel system built around a vintage Edmunds dual intake and i also plan on having some Edmunds Heads. The car is now street legal, tested, taxed, insured and with plates. SHE RUNS GREAT!!

Here she is with Thomas's wheels and tires. Thanks buddy!

I JUST LOVE THIS PHOTO!!!
